In its 2018 list of the top states for doing business, Area Development magazine has placed Florida at No. 10, advancing two spots from No. 12 in 2017. Florida came in at No. 7 in 2016.
This year, the Sunshine State also tied with Tennessee, which is another state without a personal income tax, for the second best corporate tax environment in the country.
Florida also was No. 9 in the category of leading workforce development programs because of its “strong network of educational institutions along with an array of customized training programs and incentives such as CareerSource Florida,” said Area Development, a corporate site selection and facility planning resource.
The state’s FloridaFlex program was singled out for its multifaceted resources, handling training along with recruiting and hiring.
